Outpatient Physical Therapist - New Grad Opportunity
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while also performing other professional duties associated with patient care and development of therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progress towards discharge.
- Document medical records clearly, accurately, and timely, including goal writing and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders, adhering to insurance approvals as necessary.
- Participate in student programs, creating a positive learning environment and evaluating student performance.
- Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue ongoing professional growth through education and involvement in professional activities.
- Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
- Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback for service quality enhancement.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
- 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
- Current CPR Certification.
Schedule
This position is a full-time role, offering a flexible 40-hour work schedule.
