Registered Nurse - Med Surg/GYN Float

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 19:00 – 07:30, 3 × 12 hour shifts per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a med-surg unit and may float to the ICU as needed to take appropriate assignments. The candidate should be adaptable and flexible, as patient types can vary, primarily focusing on GYN patients with potential exposure to bariatric and ENT post-operative cases.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and planning nursing care for patients in the med-surg unit.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Adhering to protocols and policies for patient safety and quality care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of med-surg nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
