Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The RN partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents in various units, including specialized Alzheimer's/dementia care and transitional rehabilitation.
• Utilize verbal and non-verbal communication techniques tailored to the needs of residents, particularly in managing challenging behaviors.
• Deliver skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients recovering from short-term illnesses or injuries.
• Administer IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management as required.
• Collaborate with team members and other care providers to ensure comprehensive and effective resident care.

Schedule

This position is a day shift role from 7 AM to 7 PM, requiring flexibility to cover 24/7 needs and float to other units as needed.

Location

Position requires residency outside a 50-mile radius.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Active State of Maine or compact RN license.
• 1-3 years of previous nursing experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
