Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Tele Float Pool

12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The MedSurg/Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care across various units primarily floating to 6 North and 7 North. The nurse will manage diverse patient populations with common diagnoses such as CHF, cardiac cath, chronic pulmonary disease, among others. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions based on patient acuity.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide nursing care for patients in the MedSurg/Tele Float Pool
• Perform patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and hospital policies

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience with cardiac rhythm and monitoring
• Must be able to interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Must take and pass a cardiac rhythm exam
