Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with options for extensions available.

Schedule

Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts (7:30 PM - 7:00 AM).

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit to provide winter coverage. Must possess a robust understanding of medical-surgical telemetry nursing and deliver exceptional patient care. The position requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
• Monitor patient vitals and interpret ECG rhythm.
• Administer medications and manage medical equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Active Permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license.
• Must hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start.
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required for submission.
