Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10-Hour (06:45 - 17:15). One week day call per week and every 5th weekend call.

Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will work within a dynamic team to support adult and geriatric patients in a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, participating in STEMI response, and providing support in electrophysiology when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterizations and related procedures.
• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
• Maintain and operate diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Assist in emergency situations, including STEMI alerts and code blue scenarios.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Document procedures and patient interactions in the EMR system (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a STEMI/PCI facility.
• ARRT certification is required at the time of application.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging.
• Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis preferred.
• Must be STEMI ready and undergo IABP and Impella training.
