Schedule

Shift: 3 PM - 3 AM with a mid-shift schedule; as early as 10 AM to 10:30 PM, as late as 1 PM to 1:30 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a Level 2 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency and trauma care, alongside certifications necessary for patient care in a critical environment. You will be instrumental in providing high-quality medical care in dynamic and often high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in emergency situations, assessing and prioritizing patient needs.
• Utilize advanced trauma and emergency care techniques encompassed within Level 2 trauma center protocols.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
• Adhere to best practices using the AIDET framework for patient interactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Department or Level 2 Trauma Center.
• Current Kansas RN license.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, ENPC (or PALS), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Preferred certifications include CEN or TCRN.
• Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage.

Dress Code

Cobalt blue top and black or cobalt blue pants. Solid color, closed toe shoes required.
