CT Technologist

Job Description

The CT Technologist will demonstrate professionalism and service excellence while performing essential tasks in diagnostic imaging. This includes ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the procedures, as well as maintaining the necessary equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary medical and radiological supplies according to established protocols.
• Maintain sterility of instruments and the procedure field.
• Prepare requisitions accurately and verify patient identification per AHS policy.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to alleviate anxiety.
• Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections, reporting any changes to nursing staff and radiologists.
• Ensure availability of medical records and past reports.
• Assist in emergency responses and maintain cleanliness within the CT scanning areas.
• Participate in daily inventory and stocking of supplies, and notify leads of any equipment malfunctions.
• Triage procedures and coordinate essential emergency requests while communicating with other departments.
• Participate in routine cleaning and maintenance of the CT equipment.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for PM shifts: Sunday from 11 am to 12 am, Tuesday from 10 am to 11 pm, and Wednesday from 9 am to 10 pm, with call included.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical Training program from an accredited institution.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (RT(R)) and Computed Tomography (RT(CT)).
• New Jersey State X-Ray License.
• BLS Certification.
