Job Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care Unit, you will provide optimal patient care by utilizing your knowledge and skills within the nursing process. You will be accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care, providing comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, as well as their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for diverse medical conditions.
• Manage patients with complex needs, including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory issues.
• Administer medications and titrate drips, including vasopressors and thrombolytics.
• Provide interventions for neuro-stepdown patients and perform procedural sedation.
• Coordinate care between multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Intermediate Care/Stepdown nursing experience required.
• Medical/Neuro ICU experience is preferred.
• Current NV RN license required prior to start date.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Must have experience with ECG/Telemetry, including reading and interpreting rhythm strips.
