Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adults and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will coordinate activities with hospital departments, assist cardiologists, and ensure high-quality patient care during exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams.
• Coordinate scheduling exams and patient transport.
• Assist cardiologists with exam dictation and preparation.
• Respond to patient needs and report any changes in patient condition.
• Maintain price-control of equipment and examinations.
• Order and maintain Echo supplies and keep rooms organized.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain quality control.
• Share on-call coverage for echo emergency exams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience performing echocardiograms preferred.
• A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required.
• State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work under stressful conditions.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
