Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry unit is responsible for delivering optimal patient care by utilizing their nursing knowledge and skills effectively. The RN is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, especially focusing on cardiac health issues.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage non-titratable cardiac medication drips.
• Coordinate care among healthcare team members, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage with patients and families; include them in the care planning process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Nevada required prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Candidates must pass a telemetry competency exam.
