Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care. They maintain clinical competencies through continuing education, delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available, and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry setting.
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment in clinical decision-making.
• Lead and manage patient care through effective delegation and supervision.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Anticipate and plan for patient needs and safety in care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 to 5 years of nursing experience required.
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications (attached to submission, from the American Heart Association).
• Must hold a valid Missouri RN or multi-state RN license (attached to resume).
