CT Technologist

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic imaging services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This role requires proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including but not limited to CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures. Additionally, the CT Technologist will perform basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures on various body parts while adhering to departmental protocols.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met during imaging services.
• Maintain an understanding of CT processing and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Handle surgical/sterile procedures and studies with or without contrast media.
• Collaborate effectively with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited AMA school for CT Technologists.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• State licensure as a general radiographer.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in CT scanning and prior travel experience are required.

Schedule

This position requires day, evening, night shifts, as well as weekends and call duties.
