Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of various ages, including neonatal and pediatric populations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with ventilators and bipap technology and will work collaboratively with a dedicated medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patient responses to respiratory care interventions.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory care and therapy techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and modify patient treatment plans.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Respiratory Therapy license in Iowa.
• Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with neonatal and pediatric patients is required.
• Must pass a 10-panel drug test, including opiates.
• Must have completed Iowa SING BG check, including criminal and child abuse portions.
