Travel Ultrasound Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Weekends ONLY, Days, 7a-7p (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday), with call required on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Job Description

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatient individuals under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. The role includes performing various ultrasound procedures, such as abdominal, pelvic, and transvaginal sonograms, as well as specialized ultrasound-guided interventions.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging including, but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic, and small parts.
• Conduct ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
• Demonstrate competency in sonographic procedures across various modalities.
• Provide exceptional patient care and comply with departmental protocols.
• Float to outpatient imaging center as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
• A.R.D.M.S. or ARRT for Ultrasound vascular registry required.
• BLS certification required.
• Vascular registry (RVT) required.
• General ultrasound studies experience required; echo experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
