Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide optimal patient care utilizing nursing knowledge and skills, focusing on patients in the Intermediate Care Unit. This role is accountable for individualized patient outcomes and provides comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with severe, but usually non-life-threatening health issues.
• Conduct assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individuals in the unit.
• Assist in managing patients with conditions such as post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory issues.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to foster a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intermediate Care Unit or Stepdown nursing role is required.
• Experience in Medical/Neuro ICU is preferred.
• Proficiency with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management is essential.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS is required.
• Must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam; failure will result in contract termination.
