12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 with a weekend rotation every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Health Unit provides quality nursing care to patients with various mental health challenges. This role requires effective communication, critical thinking, and compassion while caring for adults experiencing mental illness, including disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders.

Responsibilities

• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Behavioral Health Unit.
• Monitoring patient conditions and progress, including vital signs and behaviors.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participating in patient assessments and care planning.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Nevada.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Handle with Care training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient behavioral health nursing experience is required.
