Surgical Nurse

Schedule

This position requires 4 × 10 hour shifts, averaging 40 hours per week. Shifts will rotate through days, evenings, and nights, with call and weekend duties required. A call response time of 30 minutes is expected.

Job Description

The Surgical Nurse will work in a Level 1 Trauma unit, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of Level 1 Trauma experience and recent travel experience. Familiarity with Cardiac Robotics, LVAD, and Heart Transplant is essential, along with a strong clinical background in General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Vascular, and Trauma surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room
• Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize outcomes
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures and recovery
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Level 1 Trauma experience
• Recent travel nurse experience preferred
• Experience with Cardiac Robotics, LVAD, and Heart Transplant
• Nursing degree and valid nursing license
