ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

Night Shift: 19:00 – 07:30, 3 × 12 hr shifts per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated ICU Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality patient care across various critical care units. The RNs will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating the care needed by assigned patients under the direction of licensed physicians. RNs will float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders, with potential assignments in Women’s and Family in specific cases.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with patients, family members, and the healthcare team.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to nursing standards and departmental policies.
• Maintain patient care ratios that do not exceed 1:3.
• Prepare to float to various units as assigned, with ample orientation provided for specialized units.
• Participate in continuing education to stay informed on nursing practices and patient care techniques.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ICU (No new graduates)
• Current PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
