Physical Therapist - Outpatient Services

Schedule

Full-time hours, 40 hours a week, including coverage for inpatient care on holidays and Sundays.

Job Description

Physical Therapists are responsible for evaluating patients referred for physical therapy treatment, formulating treatment plans and goals, and administering physical therapy treatments. They will work actively in both inpatient and outpatient services, collaborating with various hospital departments and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 patient care with scheduled 45-minute appointments each hour.
• Perform evaluation tests and measurements based on patient diagnosis.
• Develop treatment plans and reassess/revise them every 6 weeks or based on patient progress.
• Utilize appropriate physical therapy techniques and modalities based on diagnoses.
• Document patient progress reports promptly to align with physician follow-ups and support compliance with insurance policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program and licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one year of physical therapy experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments.
