This is a night shift position with a requirement to work every third weekend.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The OB Nurse provides care and support to patients during labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and related nursing responsibilities. When there are no obstetric patients, nurses are expected to float to the medical-surgical floor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care during labor and delivery processes.
• Monitor patients' health status and progress postpartum.
• Assist with recovery and provide education to patients and families.
• Float to the med-surg floor when not assigned obstetric patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in obstetrics and labor & delivery settings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) may be preferred.
