Registered Nurse - Weekend Nights

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to collaborate with the health care team, utilizing evidence-based practices to provide safe and optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accountability and respect toward patients, families, and coworkers. Effective communication with the interdisciplinary team and families is essential for promoting continuity of care. You will direct the work of support staff and perform general nursing duties with minimal supervision, applying critical thinking skills while caring for age-specific populations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the health care team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and families.
• Direct the work of support staff in the provision of care.
• Perform nursing duties utilizing critical thinking skills.
• Work with age-specific populations based on the setting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
• Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN, in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification required, with certification within three months after hire.
• Current ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications, to be obtained per guidelines upon hire.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English with strong empathetic listening skills.
• Technical and critical thinking skills related to sound nursing judgment.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Schedule

This position operates on a weekend night schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
