Job Description

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within the laboratory department. This role involves working closely with the Laboratory Director on policy and procedural matters to ensure efficient laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory operations to ensure quality test results.
• Coordinate with the Laboratory Director on laboratory policies and procedures.
• Manage laboratory staff and ensure compliance with testing standards.
• Ensure timely processing of laboratory tests for hospital inpatients and emergency room patients.
• Maintain accreditation and licensing standards set forth by regulatory bodies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a clinical role.
• At least two (2) years of leadership experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
