Staff Physical Therapist

Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Director, the Staff Therapist is responsible for administering physical therapy to patients across all age groups, with the primary goal of improving patients' functional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret evaluations and test results to develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
• Administer manual exercises and assist patients with physical activities, including daily living activities and the use of assistive devices.
• Perform various physical therapy treatments, including massages, traction, and application of physical agents.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Participate in discharge planning with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Design home exercise programs and provide education to patients and caregivers regarding these programs.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation and adhere to confidentiality policies.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following established procedures and infection control protocols.
• Participate in training and development programs for physical therapy staff and maintain professional knowledge.
• Compliance with legal and professional requirements at all levels.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Possession of a Physical Therapy License issued by the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, and procedures for rehabilitation.
