1.0 FTE, exact shift details depending on scheduling needs. Pediatric clinic is open 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide general Speech-Language Pathology evaluations and treatments focusing on improving patients' functional abilities. The clinician will ensure compliance with hospital standards and external regulatory requirements while demonstrating professional conduct and maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of therapy interventions across various settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language evaluations and treatments based on physician referrals.
• Develop, implement, and modify therapy plans of care tailored to individual patient needs.
• Document all patient encounters, including findings, treatment plans, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Conduct patient education and develop home exercise programs.
• Provide therapy services in both clinical and community settings, including home visits and remote locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical space and supplies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current CCC-SLP certification.
• Licensed by the State of Alaska in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Pediatric and outpatient experience is required.
