Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Surgery

Job Description

The Ambulatory Surgery department provides comprehensive pre, intra, and post-operative care for patients undergoing surgical and procedural sedation. Our skilled team caters to a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. We collaborate with various specialties to ensure high-quality care for patients being discharged the same day or admitted to the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post-operative care in a busy Ambulatory Surgery setting.
• Administer safe and effective patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during recovery.
• Manage the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) for surgical patients, including C-section recoveries.
• Work autonomously and independently in a critical access hospital environment.
• Participate in rotational on-call duties for weekends and holidays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license upon application submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required for Ambulatory Surgery.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a day surgery setting is required.

Schedule

Varies/Days, with rotating weekends and a requirement for rotational call.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
