Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description

The Emergency Department provides care for patients with a wide variety of needs, from non-critical to emergent medical conditions, including emergent and urgent mental health care. All patients are welcome, whether walking in or arriving by emergency transport. All Emergency Department staff are certified to care for critical cardiac and trauma patients, including children.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as required.
• Assess and triage patients with varying degrees of health concerns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required.
• ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required.
• CEN certification preferred.

Schedule

Varied shifts, including every other weekend.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
