Physical Therapy Assistant - Outpatient/Inpatient

This is a 13-week contract position, requiring 32 hours per week with 4-8 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide exceptional therapy services in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including swing bed, observation, and extended recovery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and administering treatment plans for patients.
• Perform therapy interventions according to protocols and assist patients with exercises.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Adapt to varying patient needs and float to different departments as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Missouri Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a physical therapy role.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
