Outpatient/Inpatient Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 5x8-Hour (09:00 AM - 05:00 PM), with work on Sundays and Mondays for inpatient acute and rehab, and Tuesdays to Thursdays for outpatient duties.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist who can integrate both inpatient acute and rehabilitation services with outpatient care. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, as you will work with a diverse patient population in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, create treatment plans, and implement therapy interventions for patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Facilitate rehabilitation for various conditions including post-operative patients and those with neurological disorders.
• Ensure effective pain assessment and management, including the use of assistive devices and rehabilitation equipment.
• Document patient care and progress accurately using charting systems.
• Educate patients and their families on care protocols and home exercise programs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a relevant setting.
• Valid California Physical Therapist License.
• Certifications in BLS and Manual Therapy.
• Proficiency in patient evaluation and treatment planning related to various orthopedic and neurological conditions.
