Physical Therapist - Outpatient/Inpatient

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8 hours (09:00 - 17:00) with responsibilities on Sundays and Mondays for inpatient care, and Tuesday through Thursday for outpatient services.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will provide a blend of inpatient acute and rehab services on weekends and outpatient care during weekdays. The ideal candidate should be proficient in providing therapy for various conditions such as post-operative rehabilitation and neurological disorders. Spanish-speaking skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapy interventions for both inpatient and outpatient clients.
• Manage patient education and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Provide guidance on pain assessment and managing environmental barriers.
• Ensure proper use of assistive devices and proper body mechanics.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in California.
• Certifications: BLS, Manual Therapy.
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic.
• Must be willing to float occasionally to acute inpatient settings as needed.
