Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift available: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. Weekend coverage required: 1 Saturday per month for 4 hours at your preference.

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a Medical Rehabilitation Unit within a Trauma hospital that primarily serves stroke patients (40%). The role involves treating patients in a well-equipped OT gym with kitchen facilities, utilizing a wide range of technology, and collaborating closely with Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology teams. Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions to assist patients in regaining functional independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• NBCOT certification required.
• Active license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in West Virginia (or Compact License accepted).
• Acute Care experience preferred.
