Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Day/Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour shifts (06:00 - 18:30) and Night 3x12-Hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30). Weekends are required approximately every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The position is located in a critical access hospital, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional respiratory care across various units, including the Emergency Department, ICU, and Med/Surg departments. The ideal candidate must possess the necessary certifications and be comfortable with ventilator management. This role requires the ability to work independently as the solo RT on shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy care to patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Administer treatments and therapies, including mechanical ventilation, nebulization, and airway management.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in emergency responses and critical care situations as a member of the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Current Oregon state license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active certifications in NRP, ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience with ventilator management (Draeger and Hamilton).
• Experience with pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations is preferred.
