Night RRT Position - Pediatric and Adult Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 18:30 to 07:00, primarily comprising of weekend shifts.

Job Description

This position requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to work primarily with pediatric patients in the emergency department. The majority of the patient population is adult, and critical care cases are minimal, as most care is standardized. The ideal candidate should be prepared to float between units as needed and must possess strong pediatric and adult care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care in accordance with prescribed treatments and care protocols.
• Assist in intubation and extubation procedures as necessary.
• Conduct routine and emergency respiratory therapy procedures for patients of all ages.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy, adjusting treatments as recommended.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Oregon Respiratory Therapist license.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required; PALS preferred but not mandatory.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, with experience in emergency departments strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.
