Job Description

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures using the Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI large bore system and BRACCO power injector. This role involves collaborating with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and imaging quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans of various body parts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as MRA, MRV, and MRCP.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to Infection Control policies.
• Document patient information and scan results accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper functionality through routine checks and calibrations.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI technology is required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Valid New York State licensure required at the time of submission.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Candidates must be willing to float as needed.
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility.
