Registered Nurse - Acute Care Float Pool

This position requires working a 12.5-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including weekends every other week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care Float Pool is responsible for providing care across multiple medical-surgical floors, including but not limited to Orthopedics, Med-surg, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, and Surgical Telemetry. The RN must be willing to float to all these departments and may also be required to float to the West Lakes Campus, which is approximately 9.5 miles from downtown.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across various medical-surgical specialties.
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and update care procedures accordingly.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to established protocols and standards of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Ability to float to different nursing units as needed.
• Completion of all necessary health screenings and vaccinations, including COVID-19 and others as specified.
