Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Care Unit

Schedule

This position offers a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The RN may work up to 3 Saturdays within a 6-week scheduling period, with Sundays off. Working on holidays will be assessed individually based on surgical volumes.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will primarily care for post-procedural patients who are expected to stay 1-3 nights after their surgery. Responsibilities also include caring for catheterization lab patients and addressing emergency room overflow as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and assess patient needs throughout their stay.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Completion of required competencies and health screenings for onboarding.
• Experience in surgical care or related clinical settings is preferred.
