Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor, during delivery, and in the postpartum period. The nurse will demonstrate proficiency in managing various labor and delivery procedures and ensuring both maternal and neonatal safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and monitor the health status of patients during labor.
• Assist in the delivery of infants and provide immediate care to newborns.
• Implement patient education related to labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy as needed.
• Utilize Epic charting and maintain comprehensive documentation of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Current South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP.
• Epic experience preferred, with familiarity in couplet care or transition nursery.
