Certified Surgical Technologist - Robotics/Vascular/Thoracics Experience Required

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

• Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
• No guaranteed block scheduling
• 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix
• 30-minute call back response
• 3-4 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix (weekends could be day, evening, or night shifts)
• Holidays as needed (could be day, evening, or night shifts)

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting in surgical operations, ensuring that the operating room is adequately prepared, and providing support during procedures involving robotics, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. Candidates must be well-versed in multiple specialties and demonstrate proficiency in relevant surgical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during major and minor operations
• Manage surgical instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
• Stay current with technological advances in surgical procedures and instruments

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience, specifically in Orthopedic, Thoracic, Vascular, and Robotics
• Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• BLS certification required
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, is required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
