This is a 13-week contract position with potential to extend for up to 20 weeks.

Shifts are scheduled as follows:

• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Note that shifts may vary to meet the operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN to provide compassionate care to patients at our Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The RN will have the potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED, caring for a similar patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to meet patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• MUST have 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing.
• MUST have active Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification are required.
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
