Job Description

We are seeking a talented Surgical Technologist / First Assist with expertise in orthopedic surgery and general surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will perform a range of duties essential for the efficient running of the operating room, demonstrating proficiency in sterile technique and patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in orthopedic surgeries, including total joints, GYN procedures, and general surgery.
• Prepare surgical instruments and equipment necessary for operations.
• Maintain sterile techniques and manage the sterile field.
• Participate in surgical identification and setup.
• Handle specimens and perform counts to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate fast room turnover and work independently with minimal orientation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certified Surgical Technologist / First Assist (CST/FA) certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience in orthopedic and general surgical procedures is essential.
• Familiarity with intraoperative neuromonitoring and vendor coordination is preferred.
