Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with rotating schedules of 3 shifts one week and 2 the next week. Weekend requirements include every other weekend and 1 call shift weekly with potential for 2 calls on weeks with only 2 shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care, providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and recovering labor patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Conducting newborn testing including CCHD, Newborn Metabolic Screening, Bilirubin, and Hearing Screening.
• Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Managing patient ratios of 2:1 for labor patients and 4:1 for couplets (mother/baby).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have Labor and Delivery experience, as well as Nursery experience.
• Required certifications include ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and CEFM or AWHONN fetal monitoring.
• C-Section experience is preferred.
