Certified Respiratory Therapist - Night and Day Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, alternating between night and day shifts. Initially, there will be several weeks of night shifts followed by several weeks of day shifts, transitioning back to night shifts in September.

Job Description

The Certified Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to patients within an acute care setting, adhering to established protocols and standards. The role includes assessments, support, and implementation of respiratory therapy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and evaluations.
• Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments.
• Maintain and evaluate ventilation and airway management strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in respiratory therapy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC.
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (AHA or ARC) certifications.
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
