Neuro Surgical Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15, working 3x12-hour shifts per week, with flexibility around weekend shifts (12-16 required per contract).

Job Description

The Neuro Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care for patients undergoing neuro surgical procedures and related diagnoses. You will be part of a team delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage IVs, telemetry, and patient assessments.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
• Participate in storm and hurricane response teams as needed.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and other safety measures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a neuro surgical unit preferred.
• Current BCLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• NIHSS certification is a plus.
• Ability to float within assigned units as required.
