Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. As a critical part of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will have experience in both Emergency Department and Behavioral Health settings, with the capability to float between urgent care units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
• Manage acute patient conditions effectively within emergency settings.
• Administer medications and perform necessary procedures as per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner charting system.
• Support locked Behavioral Health units with a patient-nurse ratio of 1:6.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of Emergency Department experience required; 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience may be considered.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Prophecy Relias Advanced Emergency Department assessment and 4 hours of annual stroke CEs are required.
• CEN certification preferred.
• Valid Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
