Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient/family teaching needs and goals based on admission assessments.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent patient information and changes in status to the care team to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in team-building activities to foster a positive unit environment.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position is for a Night Shift with a 3x12 hours schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
