Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit

Schedule

12-hour Day shifts with a commitment of a minimum of every other weekend, adjustable based on unit needs.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care on the M5/McClure 5 Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit. The RN must have prior travel experience in large teaching facilities and be prepared to adapt their schedule to meet unit and patient care requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to neurosurgical and surgical patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Participate in bi-weekly orientations and continuing education opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing unit experience.
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date.
• Epic experience from within the past 2 years is required.
• Reliable transportation is essential as public transportation is not accessible in this area.
