Occupational Therapist

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s level of functioning upon physician orders and plan appropriate treatment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning for each patient.
• Complete documentation according to Department policy and procedures.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT/COTA students.
• Collaborate with team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality while instilling confidence in team members, patients, and families.
• Demonstrate safe techniques regarding patients and equipment.
• Budget time and set priorities effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational therapy is required.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for Day shifts with a 5x8.0 format.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
