NICU Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 06:00 AM to 06:30 PM. Weekends every other week, with the possibility of exceeding to meet unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for neonates in a Level III NICU. The ideal candidate will have a passion for neonatal care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments to neonates as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess the condition of neonates in critical care.
• Provide family support and education on neonatal care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Epic charting system.
• Utilize specialized equipment and techniques for neonate care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a NICU setting.
• Certifications: BCLS, NRP (Advanced preferred), and PALS.
• Experience with a variety of neonatal care responsibilities such as administering blood products, managing central lines, and performing high-risk deliveries.
