Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool requires recent EPIC experience. The RN will float between Medical Surgical (MS) and Intermediate Care (IMC) units and must be comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6. This position involves caring for patients with various critical conditions, such as acute respiratory distress, septic shock, and other serious medical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a floating capacity between MS and IMC units.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips, including cardiac and vasoactive medications.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and vital signs.
• Perform various clinical procedures such as blood transfusions and the management of central lines.
• Assist in the management of patients undergoing complex medical treatments including ventilator care and tracheostomy management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of telemetry experience in a hospital setting.
• 2+ years of IMC or similar unit experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Recent EPIC experience.
• Experience with patient care in cases of respiratory, cardiac, and other acute medical conditions.
