Acute Care Physical Therapist

Schedule

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:00), with weekend rotations required.

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Acute Care Physical Therapist to provide essential rehabilitation services in a short-term acute care setting. The position entails working with a diverse patient population suffering from various conditions that require immediate and focused care. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients in acute care.
• Perform therapy interventions ensuring safety and compliance with health standards.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and rehabilitation goals.
• Document patient progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 1 year of acute care experience.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of practice is required.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
• Previous charge experience is beneficial.
